A beautiful day

I felt like making raindrops. That's how this card was born! I first made a lot of raindrops. Tiny little teardrops with intricate coils visible. Then I thought I needed an umbrella to protect myself from the rain. And of course the rain needs some clouds to originate from. So clouds it had to be! And even though it was raining, I wanted it to be a bright day with the sun shining out of the clouds. And when rain and sun mix together, a rainbow is not far off. And to complete the picture, I placed a bright little toadstool growing and glistening  in the rain. And to give it a picture perfect finish, I placed all the elements on a butterfly background card! So after a lot of description, here is the card!

Thanks for visiting!

Homecoming card

My husband and younger son were away for a couple of weeks and here is a card that I made to welcome them home.

Here I used a mixture of paper cutting and quilling techniques to make the card.

I came up with the technique for making the house myself which I will present as a tutorial in a later post.

Some creations

These are some of the creations I have made over the past 3-4 months.

Quilled Creations is a great site for new quillers to work on quilling skills and technique using the inspirations for layout and design of skilled quilling artists.

I was looking for ideas for a card for a child and liked this design which I found here. This is my attempt.

This is a simple cute design that I found here and couldn't resist trying out.
